Waiting is the hardest task
You don’t know, fingers crossed
You wait, in the silence of the night
Heart pounding, shaking
You wait.

They don’t care
Glances behind their back, cold fingers on your arm
They don’t listen to your whispers
So why should you show them?

You sigh
Lips trembling as your eyes can’t close
Thoughts haunting you
Did they ever care?

Waiting is such a task
One doesn’t mind, if carefree
But you’re not, and you get scared
So you wait
For your pain to go away
